This is a live recording of Pat Metheny's trio. It's a relatively rare recording from 1999, featuring Metheny with Larry Grenadier and Bill Stewart. They seem to have made a good team, as they released official albums together in 1999 and 2000. This particular recording is a radio broadcast of their 1999 performance at a jazz festival, so the sound quality is excellent, although it's a bit disappointing that it's not a full set due to broadcast time constraints. All of the DJ's commentary has been cut, but Metheny's commentary remains.
