This is a great title featuring live recordings from the George Duke Band's 1977 concert, plus fantastic bonus tracks.
Both the main tracks and bonus tracks are remastered from high-quality soundboard recordings,
making it enjoyable even for beginners.
Both tracks feature almost the same members from the 1977 concert,
with only minor changes to the chorus.
Herbie Hancock makes a guest appearance on "Von Antoinette.
" From Cannonball Adderley's group, through Frank Zappa's influences,
to a co-led band with Billy Cobham, and then his own formidable band,
this release showcases a strong funk influence and call-and-response playing.
Recommended for those who prefer funk over fusion.
Also recommended for Prince fans.
