This is a rare live recording from November 1990, dating from the final period of Miles Davis’s career. The performance took place in Ingolstadt, Bavaria (Germany), and has rarely been released before. Upon hearing the master tape, however, I was dismayed by the extremely poor sound quality (bitter laugh). Thanks to an arduous remastering process, I have managed to bring it up to a "very good"—or at least "listenable"—level. To be perfectly honest, this release is intended primarily for dedicated enthusiasts.

The series has steadily gained a strong reputation and has become a go-to collection for archival, rare Miles Davis recordings.
