This is a live sound source from the first day of Miles Davis's two-day performance at the Nice Jazz Festival in 1988. It is a remastered recording from an FM broadcast master. The sound quality has been improved by removing electronic hum (buzz noise), slightly narrowing the stereo field for a more focused sound, and re-equalizing it.
Interestingly, Miles can be heard in high spirits at the end of the recording saying, "See you tomorrow." Since the sound source for the following day is also available from the same label, it is highly recommended to listen to both.
