This is a live recording featuring the Pat Metheny Quartet. Although billed as a quartet, the four musicians are actually members of the Pat Metheny Group. The setlist includes compositions by Pat Metheny alongside works by Charlie Haden, Ornette Coleman, and Herbie Hancock—a rare combination of material for this specific lineup. Performances in such intimate live music venues are also quite uncommon. The recording is a high-quality audience capture that successfully conveys the atmosphere of the venue. During the remastering process, loud cheers occurring in the immediate vicinity—which were startlingly close—were edited out to avoid surprising the listener.
