The performance took place at the legendary Barbican Hall in Britain, following a tour that spanned the U.S. and Europe. It features a high-quality audience recording that has been remastered. While the gaps between songs have been edited down where they felt overly long, Metheny's spoken remarks are included in their entirety (fitting, given that he is pictured holding a microphone on the cover). Several other recordings from this same tour have been released by this label, and the sound quality here is on par with those.
