This is a soundboard live recording featuring a rare quartet led by Herbie Hancock. It captures a performance from the 1996 Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy and is sourced from a radio broadcast. Through remastering, the overall output level has been increased, and the bass—which previously sounded muffled—has been brought out with greater clarity. While some minor recording noise is audible during non-musical segments, it becomes completely unnoticeable once the music begins. The setlist is quite unusual, featuring numerous covers of rock and pop songs by artists such as Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and Prince. The final track, "Cantaloupe Island," has been added to the collection, having been remastered from a separate broadcast source.
